TAC HISTORY

TAC Hockey Celebrates its Fourteenth Year of Operations

When TAC Hockey first began conducting formal hockey training programs back in 1992, its stated mission was simple: To train serious players in a hockey specific training environment so they can develop and realize their full potential as hockey players and as people.

Over the years, TAC has seen many changes, but one thing has remained constant: TAC’s Commitment to Excellence

Year after year, scores of our ‘graduates’ achieve their goal of playing high level hockey.  Literally hundreds of players have gone on to play Junior A and/or College Hockey after training with TAC.  Nearly 100 ‘TAC Grads’ have earned themselves college scholarships, and a number either play in or have been drafted by the National Hockey League.

TAC’s dedicated, professional staff is committed to teaching young players to set and achieve their goals in hockey.  “TAC is all about realizing potential,” says TAC Founder and Director Mike McPartlin.  “We take great pride in seeing our grads achieve success in hockey, in some cases all the way to the NHL.  But truly we understand that all success comes from setting and achieving goals.  We know that what we get across to our players at TAC has positive implications that go well beyond their hockey achievements.”

Still, we also know that people Come to TAC to Get the Edge over the hockey competition.  And we know that very often hockey success comes from getting the right opportunity to show the right person or persons what you can do.  At TAC we are therefore proud of the strategic alliances and interpersonal relationships we have built up over the years with coaches and managers from the ranks of Junior A (US and Canada), college and professional hockey, including in Europe.  We state unabashedly that we will “go to bat” for our players to help them advance as players, and that’s what we do.  Our track record in this regard speaks for itself.

In January of 2002 TAC joined forces with Advanced Power Hockey (“Advanced”) of Woodridge, Illinois.  Advanced is part of a larger consortium that owns and operates ice facilities and pro shops, and conducts European hockey trips and youth hockey tournaments.  TAC Advanced Hockey Camps is a company dedicated to serving the interests of youth hockey players across the US and Canada.

TAC’s Illinois National Hockey Training Complex in Addison, Illinois, scheduled to open in March of 2007, will allow TAC to take its programs to the next level.  Complete with weight training and other specialized hockey specific training facilities, the INHTC will set the standard for hockey training excellence.

The INHTC will also be home to the Chicago Mission Tier 1 AAA Hockey Club, with whom TAC Advanced enjoys a close developmental relationship.
